Building on a foundation of nearly 50 years, Formula Racing Academy is carrying on the tradition of training students in the highly intricate form of European-style road racing.

Bertil Roos Racing School, which was founded by its namesake in 1975, is now closing. However, the same team of instructors, mechanics, and office personnel, along with the cars and teachings will live on with the newly formed Formula Racing Academy.

With more personalized instruction than offered at other schools, Formula Racing Academy remains focused on the philosophy that the quality of education is the utmost of importance. All programs remain “arrive and drive” where all you need to bring is a positive attitude.

Our programs range from adventure programs, which are designed to let one experience the ultimate thrill of getting behind the wheel of one of our open-wheel Formula cars, to those who are serious about becoming a professional racer. Our school offers full licensing recommendation status for SCCA Competition licenses and our staff of world-class instructors has developed multiple programs that challenge drivers at all experience levels.

Graduates of our five-day program and other SCCA-licensed drivers can compete in our highly competitive racing series which showcases driver talent instead of sponsorship dollars in identically-prepared Formula 2000 race cars.

While we are sad to see the closing of Bertil Roos Racing School, we are grateful how the program grew over the last four years as part of IRG Sports + Entertainment. Bertil Roos Racing School enjoyed a great working relationship with IRGSE and through their support, it has allowed us to begin this exciting new chapter as Formula Racing Academy.

The website formularacingacademy.com will be coming soon with a schedule of schools, dates, and locations. With programs available to both the hobbyist and those competing in the highest levels of racing, Formula Racing Academy looks forward to seeing you live out your dream on the track.
